EN: Let’s start with the basics: the project hardware. As I mentioned before, the main idea here is to connect to the web server provided by Aerosoft Airbus. So, by the complexity of getting data and rendering it, I chose the Raspberry Pi Model B instead of the classical Arduino. Raspberry Pi is pure Linux, and i can easely run any web browser. In addiction, I can use the GPIO ports to interact with the MCDU keyboard, that I will talk about in a another post. For the storage, I used a regular SD card of 32 Gb, that fits with my necessity. For the OS I just installed the Raspbian , that I still need to tune and overclock it.
For the screen, I was motivated to make something near the real size. So, I googled a litle bit and found this web site (this one), where someone has taken pics of a Airbus A320 cockpit with a metric tape. In the LCD pic, i saw something like 13 centimeters, or 5,11811 inches. So, I started to search for my screen. I found one screen that is 5 Inches (not the precise size as the original Airbus), that is touch (and I will not use) and conects using the HDMI port (like this).

PT-BR: Vamos começar com o básico: o hardware do projeto. Como mencionei antes, a idéia principal aqui é conectar-se ao servidor web fornecido pela Aerosoft Airbus. Assim, pela complexidade de obter dados e renderizá-los, escolho o Raspberry Pi Model B em vez do clássico Arduino. O Raspberry Pi é puro Linux, e eu posso facilmente executar qualquer navegador da web. Além disso, posso usar as portas GPIO para interagir com o teclado MCDU, que falarei em outro post. Para o armazenamento, eu usei um cartão SD regular de 32 Gb, que se encaixa com a minha necessidade. Para o SO eu acabei de instalar o Raspbian, que ainda preciso ajustar e fazer overclock.
Para a tela, eu estava motivado a criar algo próximo do tamanho real. Então, eu pesquisei um pouco e encontrei este site (este aqui), onde alguém tirou fotos de um cockpit Arbus A320 com uma fita métrica. Na foto do LCD, eu vi algo como 13 centímetros, ou 5,11811 polegadas. Então, comecei a procurar pela minha tela. Eu encontrei uma tela que é 5 polegadas (não o tamanho exato como o Airbus original), que é o toque (e eu não vou usar) e conects usando a porta HDMI (como este).
